This is a war memorial for the Korean War.  A nation divided at the 38th parallel along the DMZ or demilitarized zone.  It is a 245 km wide by 4 km deep line that cuts North and South Korea along the 38th parallel.  Every year they have a ceremony here to remember their befallen comrades and those families who have relatives stuck in North Korea.  I can go on and on about this.  I will just say a little.  It is a most fascinating history, that of Korea.  Korea has over 5000 years of its own history.  It makes for a fascinating read.  But I digress.
